Abstract

This School Action Research aims to improve the ability of teachers to develop lesson plans (RPP) in groups through the activities of the Islamic Religious Education Subject Teacher Conference (MGMP). This research was conducted while the author was still on duty as a supervisor in Southeast Aceh with a research period of 3 months from July to September 2019. The research subjects were 21 PAI subject teachers who came from assisted schools and were always active in MGMP PAI activities in Southeast Aceh. Every process always includes three main activities, namely planning, implementation and evaluation. This is also the case with the teaching and learning process in schools. The learning planning process that must be carried out by a teacher includes the following main activities: 1. Making an Annual Program 2. Making a Syllabus 3. Making a Semester Program 4. Making a Learning Implementation Plan 5. And making a test/evaluation program. Of the five elements mentioned above, the Syllabus and lesson plans are the most minimal preparation of a teacher when he wants to teach. Based on the results of the analysis in the 2017/2018 academic year, the PAI teachers in Southeast Aceh appeared the problem of the low number of teachers who made lesson plans, especially the preparation of lesson plans. To examine the weak performance of teachers in this regard, a study was conducted to see the extent to which the supervisor's steps through MGMP can improve teacher competence in preparing lesson plans.
